Career foundation in valuation & land economy
Edmund began his professional journey in the late 1970s, working on valuations for mortgages at the Agricultural Development Bank before joining George Deh & Company. There, he handled crop enumeration, compensation assessment and valuations of state-owned industries, including land, buildings, plant and machinery.
He later served as an Assistant Valuer at the Land Valuation Board, supervising rating valuations and stamp duty assessments for properties across Ghana. This period established his deep technical grounding in valuation and documentation – expertise that still shapes his work today.
Leadership within IRS & GRA
From the mid-1980s through to 2014, Edmund rose through the ranks of the Internal Revenue Service, eventually becoming Assistant Commissioner and taking on national responsibilities after the merger into the Ghana Revenue Authority.
